0 waskawood
I had a Brand-X aluminum roll in for 5 years and it was so unstable that I switched to a port-a-dock last year. It is a lot more stable. I am a little concerned about how the aluminum decking will look in a few years as it gets scratched up when I stack up the sections in the fall. 0 JollyJoker
I live on a lake and help quite a few neighbors installing and removing them each season (all brands). The people next door have a Porta-Dock and I have had to help them out 2 times. Once in a storm when the waves knocked out all of the deck panels (and bent some) and when they tried to jack the dock up because of all the rain we got that summer and they forgot to release the chains and bound/bent 1 section really bad. It also takes them at least 2 times as long to install and remove there dock as mine with 3-4 people. I install and remove mine all by myself most years. I have a V-Dock and it is VERY stable to walk on and will not make all that noise when your kids run down the dock. Best of all of the docks I install/remove. Hope I helped.JollyJoker
0 Gopher
Check-out Vibo Marine in North Branch, MN. It's a solid dock at factory direct prices. I love our aluminum decking but we applied cork tape to the supports to reduce the noise. We also bought a lift from them. http://vibomarine.com/
