Dennis Steele
Dark is a darn good catman and rock finder. I don't know which he is better at or which he does most of. Well deserving of the title anyway.
DARK30
Funny you should mention rocks. Laker season is here...I picked up a few nice keepers already with this snow melt! Should have quite a stash before the morels start poppin.
Steve Foss
Dark, laker season? Where you been poundin' lakers down there??? Methinks you've been traveling! Or if you tell me where, will you have to kill me?
hanson
Steve-Speaking of Lakers, I read your little bit in the Bdub forum. Very nice fish man!! I'm going to have to make time to do the laker thing next winter.
DARK30
This is what I mean by "Laker" The Minnesota state rock is a lake superior agate....and yes, I'd have to kill you if I found you in my dig.
fisherking32
I respect the rock thing, as I look once in a while, but being from MO, the word that really caught my eye and got my mouth to watering was "Morel's". I have asked many people about these since I've been here, the best part is that they are here and relatively unknown about.
DARK30
Now I'm getting spring fever bad. I remember one late afternoon in May walking in to one of my favorite walleye spots and tripping over a whole bunch of nice big yellows. For now, its gonna have to be rock hunting. I like watching birds too but looking down and looking up at the same time will tweek your neck a little
rushing
Hey Dark I have always been interested in rock collecting. Can you point in a direction of a good HSOforum or book on the local stones? Most of the rocks I find end up in my fish tank.rob
