My Eskimo ice house has poles that slide out like most houses. One of my spring button lock thingies (quite a technical term there) is missing.
Here is a pool cleaning attachment spring lock -- it's essentially the same thing I need except it is plastic instead of metal and there's buttons on both sides of it. Imagine this with 1 button instead of 2, pinched into the inner pole of a telescopic tent setup, if you want to know what I'm talking about.
I went to the hardware store and they had nothing to replace my missing metal spring. I finally talked to 1 dude there who said it looked like the one on his "snow rake". We went to the snow rake section, and sure enough there's one on there. It costs like 30 bucks though. I'm wondering if anyone here knows how I could get ahold of something like this locally (target, walmart, hardware store, etc) so that I don't have to go through the hassle of getting ahold of Eskimo parts dept, paying them in some random fashion (probably via mail) and having them mail me one of these spring things back. I'm sure they can help me, and that'll be my next step, but if anyone knows of somewhere in the MSP area that I can just drive to and get one, that would be easiest and fastest.
Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there. About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway. Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work. You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water. When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
