SOLD FS 1984 Sylvan 18ft boat/motor/trailer, needs cleanup, SOLD

1984 Sylvan 18ft aluminum deep V boat with 1985 Evinrude 120hp V4 oil injected, power tilt & trim, and nice HD trailer.

Boat was left at dock A LOT, needs a good cleanup, ands some small fixing (some wires, etc), it has a Minnkota bow mount trolling motor, Humminbird sonar, etc.

Motor is excellent, power tilt & trim, 120lbs compression all 4 cylinders, runs good (will need water pump replaced, of course).

Trailer is very solid, bunk style with bearing buddies, traveled 450miles at 70mph no problem....

All this boat needs is a good cleanup and some electrical wires replaced. If price is not negotiated I will add all the needed parts for free.

Just a question...how do you decide if a boat hull is a deep V or not?

From the way hull is shaped.

Do a search online on hull design, you'll find many descriptions.

How much thrust on the trolling motor? Also, how can you get the crud off the boat? I am interested in the boat, just want to make sure you can get the scum off the hull.

I don't know how much thrust, I would guess, due to age, approx 40lbs.

To remove crud...go to Walmart but 4 bottles of The Works toilet and bathroom cleaner, plus a empty spray bottle.

Go to carwash, spray cleaner evenly on hull and motor, wait 5 minutes, rinse it off. Where it's hard to remove you can use a plastic brush (long ice scraper w brush works great) and just scrub the cleaner on hull a little.

Beware of fumes, so be sure you're outside or there's some ventilation.

Hull will look almost as new when done. The interior will come clean just with high pressure washer, go over everything (disconnect battery first), you'll be surprised of the results.

Total cost $ 35.00 + 2 hours labor......if it doesn't sell for $ 2,000 I'll do it myself and relist it for $ 2500. Guaranteed it will sell then.

Thers is also a reason why I didn't clean it, I wanted people to see water marks, I am not hiding anything, boat was at dock and took rain water lowering it more into lake. There's NO damage to motor or electrical, everything works, no rot and floor is solid.
