big buddy heater ?

I have been considering buying a big buddy heater for my otter cabin. can anyone tell me how long the batteries last running the fan? and since I would be up grading from a buddy. do they put out that much more heat? and will it run off of 11 lbs tank?

The batteries will last from 6-8 hours. Yes it puts out that much more heat. Double to be exact. 18,000 btu's on max compared to 9,000 btu's max for the small buddy.

Yes it will run off 11 lb. tank, mine works fine using 5 lb. tanks.

I bought the Big Buddy Heater to use this year for my Eskimo Lodge and it is a great heater, it does not take long to heat it up and the fan feature on it is great. With the 2-1LB bottles I can go about six hours off them but now I am just using a 20Lb tank instead

I have another question. Can the big buddy be ran without running the fan?

The big buddy can run without the fan, but it doesn't circulate well. Without the fan, my Eskimo Lodge is VERY warm in front / over the heater and just warm on the other side of the house.

As far as the battery life, I'm only on my second set after 30+ hours of use. I don't know when the first set ran out, but they do last longer if you either bring the heater in out of the cold, or at least bring the batteries into the house instead of leaving them in the garage.
