gorrilla
Tom, my Taxidermist called and I need to decide on positions on my two newest mounts. What kind of photo examples could you show for Goldeneyes and possibly Redheads. You could post here or send them to my email address at [email protected] I've already checked old post a long ways back and saved most of your beautiful work.Any help would be appreciated... Tom Wilson
Gorrila, I really don't have much for photos of either of these two birds. I have seen mounts of Goldeneyes that in my opinion look best flying with wings out to show wing detail, and head cocked to the downward side. As far as my mounts go, I have had all of my divers mounted in semi standing, crouched positions. I love the look of the divers when they are sitting atop a rock or driftwood naturally, so I was prone to that when I had them mounted. I would sit and go through back issues of DU magazine everytime I thought of getting a new mount and find something that I liked and then take it to my taxidermist. I have yet to be let down. I wish I could give you something to go on, but I really don't have much for either of those two ducks.
