Lowrance vs. Eagle

Question

  • 0

I looking of a Lowrance x-75 for my new (used) boat. The boat came with the tranducer and power cord already installed for an x-75, but no unit. I found an Eagle Optima x-75 for sale. They look almost exactly the same and had heard that they use the same transducer and power cords. Would this combo work and/or are Lowrance and Eagle made same company? Thanks for any info. that you can share.

The Lowrance x75A has been discontinued.

I called Lowrance the other day because I needed a gasket for my spare x75A (which came with a used boat I just purchased) and they said they can no longer even get parts for it.

Their number is 1-800-324-1356 if you want to call them yourself.

I happened to have one of my own before I purchased this boat and absolutely love the graph. I believe it's the same as the popular LMS 350A without the GPS capability.

I wonder if I could just run a bead of silicon around the unit where the gasket is protruding a bit??

If you have to spend over $100 for a X75 or any older unit, it is not worth it, just buy a new unit, The newer units are twice the units of the units even 2 years ago. If you want a lowrance go with a x125, great unit, x67 is a good unit also and is color.
