1750 Reata?

eyepatrol

Question

I was browsing through Ranger's HSOforum a few days ago and noticed they now have a 1750 Reata. Couple questions though...

First, it looked like the boat has a fiberglass floor in the main deck. Anyone know if this could be carpeted?

Also, the max. hp is 130hp...what's up with that??? Couldn't they have gone to 135 so that a guy could put a 135 Optimax on there instead of having to go with the 115?

I'm really interested in the 1750, but with those two questionable items, I'd probably go with the 1850, which would cost more money.

Thanks in advance.

for your question about the carpet , i would just call a dealer and ask! the HP. ratings are controled by the measurements, and type of boat. this is out of the manufactures hands. don't underestemate the 1750 with a 115 on it. but talk to some dealers and check them out at the boat shows. grin.gif

My buddy got a 1850 last year and it has carpet. it's real cool too because the carpet is attached to the floor with snaps. So you can take out the carpet and hose down the boat. I know he absolutely loves his. i believe he has a 150 Yamaha four stroke on it.

I'll give 'em a call or e-mail and find out. Was just wondering if anyone on here would have known off the top of their head. I wish they would have designed the boat to get up to the 135 rating...probably wouldn't have taken much more to get it there, but, oh well. Still is a nice boat.

I think both myself and my father are going to the boat show this year. Neither of us will be buying this year, but likely next year! grin.gif It's NEVER too early to start looking...there's always a good time for that! grin.gifgrin.gif

Thanks to both of you for the replies.
