FL8 HELP

need a little informational help i put my fl 8 on my trolling motor and am getting so much interference that it is useless to use called the company and they said was getting feed back from a common ground told them it was the only thing hooked up to the battery. so they were no help any help out there

OK, so you dont have anything else hooked up to the battery.......when you have the interference, disconnect the transducern and see what happens.....you can be getting interference from something else, most likely the trolling motor.

there are two ways that interference comes in. One is the ground, the other is the transducer. Sounds like something is coming in from the transducer such as trolling motor noise, another transducer etc.

Does the interferance occur only when the trollingmotor is running ?
