So who is going to fish this weekend, I'm a diehard and have risked many early and late ice adventures but all of this warm weather has me scratching my head. If I hear of any good ice still in the southern or northertier I might get out. So lets have the reports on the ice in your area guys. Thanks Lee

Lee - Mohawk Valley Joe should have a report on Canadarago Friday afternoon he's gotta buddy that drives by the lake everyday.. Were hoping Saturday but will have to play it by ear. If it's a go were meeting at the diner in Richfield Springs at 6 a.m. if your up to it. I think Oneida will be shot., I heard Silver is close to being that way too. Dark Cloud and his Dad John hit the river and limited out. They caught lot's of walleyes on the boat this morning. This is a serious thaw were having and it's raining pretty good right now...

Just to put some info I talked to Tim at work about Canaderago: Yesterday around 4:30 coming off the lake, there was still 8-9 inches of ice with close to 6 inches of black. However, the rain and wind resulted in about an inch of standing water as far as the eye could see. It was a little windy. I see that they are forecasting 80% chance of rain tomorrow and 90% on Saturday with a quarter inch of rain plus 25mph winds out of the NNW . . .not a good combo. The North end creek channel was open quite a ways and I was told the outflow was moving pretty heavy. I did notice that my line was not true vertical so there is a current running north to south. We can keep our fingers crossed that the elevation at Canaderago keeps the temps down the usual 3-5 degrees colder than in the valley . . .and no rain! That being said . . .I'm still ready to go. How about you needmorespikes?

I think I'm going to hit the pond Tomorrow night or Sat. I can't believe nobody is on big bay, do you think the ice is that bad there or nobody wants to chance it? Hey Tim, 4 guys where out were we fished yesterday.

yea, I wish I did't have to but I'm thinking about hitting sandy pond tomorrow, I heard some good reports about Hunts also.

No fishing for me this weekend, just did alot of the chores around the house and will be ready next weekend.

Some good football today and I did alot of house shtuff this morning too. I want to fish tomorrow locally don't want to drive to far. I have to be in pager range. I'll post if I can squeeze in a quicky. After tonight all the shoreline areas that were questionable should be locked up tight.
