almostthere!
Was given some King Lines. They sure are smooth and thin.Has anyone used these, ice or open water? Was thinking about spooling the six pounder for some ice trouting at courthouse.
0 Powerstroke
I've never heard of this line, but I'm curious bout trouting on courthouse. I fished it a couple of times 2 years ago and never caught anything. Ever looking for a fishing partner? I'd be interested in trying that place again. 0 almostthere!
powerstroke,Sorry, my Courthouse fishing partner is my daughter. We can definitely partner up on other lakes. I will give you some good advice on fishing Courthouse. You need to hit it on trout opener (this Saturday and Sunday) because after that your chances of picking up trout is almost nil. That is when you will get into fish, mostly on Saturday. Bring a kid or two because they will have the most enjoyable fishing ever. Use a spoon of some sort (small castmaster in orange and silver) tipped with waxworm, once the sun is up. Prior to sun-up, use a glow spoon or jig tipped with waxworm. All you have to do is jig it up and down. Just keep it 2 to 3 feet under the ice (sometimes just 1 to 2 feet). You can set up close to shore at the bottle neck between the two pools (set up on the south-east side). This will get you into potential lakers. Other than that, you can get trout anywhere along the shores. The key is to stick close to shore, so close that you can [PoorWordUsage] onto shore (note to self: do not [PoorWordUsage] into the wind).
