I got a regular MrBuddy, it's great, cept the auto shut-off (in case it tips over, to not start a fire) will turn it off if you even touch it. Other then that, it works great.

On a side note, how did you do, if you don't mind me asking?

I have stuck alot of $ into worthless investment heaters over the years. The best combo I have found so far is a heater cooker style with the e lighter. The reason for the e lighter is that I no longer smoke so if I forget the lighter in the glove box no foul. if you put it on a 10-11# tank you can leave that in the sled part of the house and just set the cooker part out on the ice. The heat goes directly to your feet instead of burning your skull off and then warming your feet. If you are up north or out on the lake for the day you can cook a can of soup or fry fish what ever you feel like doing. I do suggest cooking the fish out side thou du to the fact that a smoke grease smell in the shack is hard to get rid of. If you are worried of fumes un zip the door just a bit, most heaters will run on high btu's of 15,000. More than enuff to maintain heat in 87% of situations. Can any of this help you out? Good luck

I have the same model mini mr heater you are talking about. They have a new model that is the same thing with a shut off valve it's the mh12. I also have the paulin 5500 that one stays on the shelf unless I let a buddy use it (I feel I get more heat from my lighter), and I also have the portable buddy that I don't use much because of the bulk. Hands down for me I get the best heating from the mini mr heater. I know this doesn't get your old fav. back but there is a model out there to replace it.
