Luck e 1
I am thinking of heading down this weekend. Is is worth while? We are trying to put together a trip this summer.
cedarnarrowsguy
Lots of choices. You'll end up making plans for 2-3 trips instead of one....
Outfitter17
The show can be worth it if know what type of trip you are looking for. What I mean by that is, do you want an all inclusive trip (guides, meals, basically just show up and fish)? Do you want to eat at the lodge, but bring your own boat? Do you want to cook your own meals, but rent a lodge boat? Do you want to cook your own meals and bring your own boat? If you know what type of trip you want, then you know what specific questions to ask. Take a pen so you can write on the brochures you like and also you can write down any specifics that are not in the brochures. If you don't do this you will get home and all the good info you thought you could remember will be all mixed up along with the 60 brochures from 3-4 different provinces that you picked up and you will be more confused than before you went to the show. If you would like to talk about what different options are out there come down to the show this weekend and stop by the Happy Landing Lodge booth, it is a big green double booth with a fishing show running on the TV. MuskyBrian
I'm going to say going to the show really is not a necessity. IT is nice to get that "Canadian feeling" during the cold winter months but your best research tool for planning a trip is the internet in my opinion. Go on sites like this, ask people specific questions about their experiences and you will get more unbiased responses. The show also has a very small sample of resorts when there are so many out there to choose from.
