almosthaddabite
Recently picked up an older Polaris 6 by. Would like to service engine and transmission. Should I use a synthetic oil? Why?
pulsar_nx
It depends. Synthetic can be great for cold weather starting and if you don't ride it much you can do an annual oil change.I've used both and synthetic fits my needs.
Dave
I believe Polaris has always recommended synthetic.
invadersmn
I personaly run Full Syn. in all my vehicles and would not run anything else. I am an AMSOIL person ( dont' want to start any wars on what is better ), But I stand strong behind running ANY Sny. over Dino. oil any day. Better all around protection in the winter and the summer. Plus if you don't have to worry about changing it as often giving you more time having fun with it rather then wrenching on it. Just my thoughts.. I would run Syn if I was you! EDIT: If you would like further information about AMSOIL or any other syn. oil feel free to send me an e-mail at [email protected].
