I have a big bear and have not had this problem.

If you have power elsewhere, but no spark, I'd ohm out the plug wire and see if it's broken. Then start digging into the ignition.

One thing that happened to me once....and I feel kinda stupid, is make sure the switch on the handlebars is on. Silly I know, but it happened to me.

we just rebuilt a polaris with the same problem- it was the ignition coil on the stator that shorted out. Lucky for us polaris had the wiring diagram online with the resistances right on it( for all of the coils). 'Bout time they did something right wink.gif. All of the wires were color identified so trouble shooting was easy- once I had a good quality ohm meter in my hand.
