Has anyone had any problems with the throttle not being responsive due to a warped spring? I must have had ice built up on the spring and cranked on the throttle once and stretched out my spring because I'm having problems getting a very responsive throttle.

Spray lubricant on everything that connects or indirectly connects to the spring .

Check to see if the spring is broken but still attached. On my augur, a eskimo with the tecumseh 300 engine there are 2 springs. One is on the throttle shaft on the carb and it forces the throttle open. The other is on the throttle handle and it forces it closed. See if the appropriate one is broken and thus not working and then replace as needed. This engine is very common on all augurs and comes with 3 different carbs so you will have to know which carb or bring in the entire serial number to your parts supplier. They only cost a couple of bucks each and are easy to replace. Hope this helps.
