Feeder filling up (pics included)

Looks like the feeder here in Ely has settled into its winter pattern. We have had evening grosbeaks, though I think they are about done. Every day now, we have pine grosbeaks, pictured below from yesterday, many purple finches, redpolls, siskins, still some goldfinches, two lingering white-throated sparrows, up to seven blue jays at one time, chickadees, red breasted nuthatches and hairy woodpeckers.

And from today at the neighbor's mountain ash tree. Too bad our Christmas cards are printed. This will be a top contender for next year's cards.

Steve--this is absolutely one of you're best. I love it. I got photos earlier this fall of waxwings, but they weren't colorful like these... absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful photo Steve. I have't had a waxwing since I lost my basswood to a major wind storm. The only time we ever saw them was when the seeds were young and tender. My present is suppose to be here Thursday.
