What size bunks?

Will be putting bunks on the long side of a 14' fish house/ hunting shack and need some help with the length and width, they will fold up and be for one person thinking of a 6'3"x28" wide any ideas?

Those are good demensions if your over 6' tall. Otherwise stick at 6' and save the 3".

The width of 28" is minimum IMHO, if your broad shouldered at all the 28" will just do, and 30" -32" is better so you can roll on your side.

My house I had a 26" folding bunk that doubled as you folded it out Made for a nice queener with holes at my head and foot and at the beds side !!

I'm 5'7" and have the 28" wide bunks. Not wide enough for me. I have wider shoulders & it's kind of uncomfortable after sleeping on them for a few nights. I would go 32-34 if you've got the room.

I have 2 bunks that are 30" wide. They seem to be good, bigger would be nice, but you can still sleep on your back or sides without falling off. I think the length is about 74 inches long.

MN: Before you build, visit and buy the Mattruss. I bought a single bed one and built the bed to fit... You don't want a bet to small or large for the pad... Kaz
