ironman
Looking to try some to perch spots, I heard Devils lake in ND has been alittle slow lately. Anything I should know about out there in SoDak?
Mike Walerak
Waubay Lake can be great if you can find a good school of fish. The size and numbers can be impressive. Walleyes can also be taken right along with the perch. They tend to be are smaller in size there seems to be quite a few of them and they are usually more willing to bite than the perch. As for all the others there are just too many to list Bitter Lake does come to mind as well as Lake Thompson. Maybe someone else can help to list a few lakes that have been good the last few years.mw
Tyler Holm
I'd say Waubay will be hard to beat in SoDak. Several limits of Jumbos are pulled from that body of water each and every day of the cold water seasons. Every year there are a few perch caught on Bitter that flirt with the State Record. The picture board inside the bait shop is full of 2lb+ (16"+) perch. In fact the recent record was caught last Feb from Bitter at 2-12. Limits of perch are tougher to come by, but the walleye size is much better than Waubay.
Skis
3rd vote for Waubay. They are sporatic, but if you get into a school of perch, you will be very happy!!
