My motor won't die when fogging it.

Question

Got a 300HPDI and my first time winterizing myself. I ran into a dilema, my motor won't choke and die when I fog it. I don't have 6 hands. I've taken off the plastic air intake cover and exposed the 6 throttle bodies. I can't spray all 6 fast enough to choke it. I was kinda thinking about bringing her in since it's too cold now and snowing. Should I?

You don't spray fogging oil into an HPDI or any EFI motor while running. The injectors don't like that, and may be damaged (from what I was told by mechanics).

All you have to do is treat the fuel with Stabil, run the motor to get the treated fuel into the fuel system (lines, fuel pump, injectors).

Then, pull the spark plugs and spray fogging oil into the cylinders.

Turn the motor over without starting it (disengage the kill switch at the throttle to avoid starting the motor). Spray more fogging oil. Turn over motor again.

That's it! Very easy with DFI/EFI motors.
