Coupla geese and ducks ...

I went out for a hike in the woods today and took a few pics of the usual geese and mallards. Though, one of the mallards, I'm not sure it is a mallard, it has something on its head and different tail feathers. Anyone know what it is?

Cheers

Cheryl

Cheryl,

That's just a good old Mallard hen. It looks to me like just an out of place feather. The last goose shot by the way... You're best flight shot yet. It does need a little contrast adjustment however to make that light fuzziness go away. Very nice.

i think it's a mange-y mallard ;-) Half its tail feathers seem to be missing which is why it looked different.

Somebody is getting pretty good at this photography thing!! I can't say enough how good of a job that more and more people are doing with taking and posting pictures... there are the people that started it: Stcatfish, Tom Wilson, Hobbydog, Johnny Redhorse, and now we have Wife Kids & Dog to keep us entertained. Keep up the good work! grin.gif
