bracket
I want to add a heater to the house but I'm not sure how much heater I will need. Does anybody have any ideas? Can a person get by with a sunflower that hooks to a propane tank? I was thinking of setting the tank outside and running a hose into the house. hanson
bracket-A 6x6 will easily be heated by a Mr. Heater sunflower or heater/cooker.
Deitz Dittrich
It is really going to depend on how well you have insulated.. but with a 6by6 I think a sunflour will be more than enough!!! maybe crack the door open a bit to get fresh air. I would even think a mr.buddie heater would work as long as it wasnt too cold outside...
ChuckN
You'll cook yourself out of a 6'x6' perm house with a Mr. Heater, if you have any kind of insulation on the walls. You'll have to hold the door open to get cold air in.I had a 4x8 perm for years, same square footage as yours. It had 1/2 insulation throughout and it was a piece of junk fishhouse. Cracks in the walls, leaks, you name it. I couldn't stand to use the Mr. Heater in any temperature. I bought a Buddy Heater just for that fishhouse and it was perfect for maintaining temps. Even really cold temps outside it did well. No fumes, no noise, and perfect heat. I ran a hose from the Buddy Heater to a 20lb tank outside. The hose also fits onto the Mr. Heater cooker models.
