12v and 24v ??

This might be a dumb question but I have never had a 24v system in any of my boats.

Can you run a 12v lead of a 24v system to power accessories?
I want to run my two 55w headlights,spot light and interior lights of the trooling battery as not to run down the starting battery.
I would not be running the trolling motor at the same time as these accessories,but don't want to be switching wires all the time.

Dennis yes you can use 12 volt accessories and have a 24 volt trolling motor. Your not converting your system to 24 volts all your doing is connecting 2 12 volt batteries to the socket for your trolling motor.
