Just read that Rudd will retire after this season. He said he was waiting on what was going to happen with the 2 car.He and Penske had been talking about the chance of driving the 2 for one year but with Busch and McMurray getting there release the deal fell through.

He stopped short of saying that he is retiring. He said that he was going to "step back" for a year and see what happens. It sounded like he was looking for a partial schedule or something. He said he would weigh the options if someone approached him for a ride.
