Sifty
I just saw that Terry will have a ride for part of the 06 season he will be drive for a team of Troy Akmin and Roger Staubach. Nice to see a older driver get another chance. The car # will be 96.Sifty
lawdog
He's going to run another 10 races for Hendrick again next year too. He's stretching his partial retirement to help this new team get formed... Running the road courses for them and I think it said the first four regular races before Tony Raines gets the seat for the rest of the races. OUTDOORNUT
I think it was the first 5, but that doesn't matter. Put Terry in the car, build owner points and no matter how bad the cars are they are guaranteed a past champions starting spot. Let Tony take over with hopefully a good spot in owners points, so he can concentrate on racing and forget about the worries of making the race. A guy like Casey Mears has to be a tid bit worried about the Ganassi Restructure. He will be starting from ground zero as far as owners points. Chip can't get three solid cars on the track, but somehow four is going to be better? Does Riggs points in the #10 transfer to the #14 next year for Stearling? So does Riggs start from zero @ Ray's then also?
lawdog
As I understand it, the Riggs #10 points from this year go to Sterling's #14 as its the same owner, just a number change. Same as they did for 07 of Blaney this year. The 4th team at Ganassi and the Third at Evernham will have no owner's points to fall back on. I don't know which team at Ganassi gets zero but three teams will have owner's points.
