Hows everyone been doing latly?

I got one tonight and 3 last weekend, was hunting railroad tracks and the dog took and abrupt left and went straight acrossed the tracks, im thinking what in the heck but she looked like she was one a bird so i followed her, when she crossed the tracks and got about 2 yards in the weeds a rooster got up 10 yards in front of her, me being on the other side of the tracks made for a long shot but after a clean miss I connect on the second shot, found the bird crumpled up in a bean feild, dog hopped the fence and made a perfect retrieve, only had that one chance but the great dog work made my day.

Got out near Benson on Sunday morning public land. Got up one rooster in about 2 hours of hunting. It was a 1st year bird and I thought it was a hen since it didn't cackle. There was lots of corn down, but the farmers seem to always leave some adjacent to the public areas. I plan on heading out towards Montevideo in a couple of weeks.

My dad and I went out Sunday night for 2 hours on private land. We flushed 11 roosters and 3 hens. The birds were holding very close. Could have easily had our limit in an hour but due to a horrible shooting display we didn't get any.
