hunted Mille Lacs area on Saturday and encountered solid numbers of ringers and saw some bluebills...also a flock of cans as well as 2 loner cans which we bagged! First cans ever for us so we were excited to shoot the king of ducks. High hopes for this weekend...we will be north of Willmar.

yeah Borch thanks, it was pretty exciting...knew it would happen sooner or later but I have been waiting to have one in the dekes since 2001 which was the last time I had a chance. Guess we usually just hunt areas that lack canvasbacks. Have you hunted the chain lately? What have you been seeing for birds?

We seen a pretty good push of divers here in northern Wi. Thursday - Sat. Thursday and friday there were mostly redheads around and then on Sat. a bunch of buffleheads, ringers, bills and a few cans were in the area. Then on Sunday everything went quite. Did see two goldeneyes. Its awesome, your shooting blue wing teal one day and butterballs the next.

I've been hunting around Rockville. Last weekend we saw mallards, woodducks, widgeon, GW teal, bluebills, ringnecks, redheads, buffleheads, snow geese and lots of canadians.

Lots of divers around right now.

John, I will be out thursday - Sunday mornings. Let me know if you want to try it. I haven't been out the last three days but reports are good with teal, shovelers and mallards. With this rain and snow mix moving in this weekend I have high hopes for a good weekend.
