went fishing the other day and thought i'd try a zara spook around the boat docks, by the way most of em are still in, and ended up catching three largies, two were about 18 the other 15, but what really pondered me was that instead of attacking it like theyvfe done all fall, theyd just smack it three times or more and then take it under real subtle. thought the first was a northern the wai it nudged the bait, we've had pretty cold weather but its supposed to warm up to the upper 50's and thought i'd try a zara up there before the fish move deep, by the way the lake i plan on fishing is about 80-90 acres and real clear with only weeds. Is it over? frown.giffrown.giffrown.gif

I have good luck with topwater this time of the year but I pretty much have put the buzz baits and spook away. Try topwaters that just need to be twitched and not worked so hard. Jitterbug, Smithwick Devilhorse small prop baits. Water is cooling down so slow down. I used the cast and wait till the splash rings get about 10' then twitch again. Hit usually happens on the landing or the 2nd twitch.
