PT73
With the cost of natural gas going up, we're going to put a sove in the basement to help reduce the natural gas cost. Which type of stove do you recommend?, Wood, Corn, or pellet?, pluses, minuses of each. Thanks
0 spudhauler
I would go with corn. The only drawback is the upfront cost. But the the pluses are many including simple operation, clean, cheap fuel source. My stove paid for itself in 1 year vs. natural gas costs. Good luck. 0 Animal
You have many choices, but make sure you buy a commercially made stove and have it professionally installed, otherwise your insurance company may not insure your home. You should also contact your insurance company and see if they will even offer to insure your house and at what price.
0 IFallsRon
I'd check with your insurance carrier before you make the purchase. There may be restrictions in your policy that won't allow stoves like you're interested in the house.
