Won a benelli M2 wondering how they shoot with the comfort tech system? I've got a Monefeltro right now which is a great gun no probmlems what so ever. I just want to make sure it's what I'm looking for less recoil. I can return it for cash but once I shoot it they won't take it back.

It is a great gun. I have been reading every article I can find on it because I plan on buying one before opener. I also have a M1 and I believe the new one is all around ten times better of a gun. Wish I could have won one.

I bought that exact gun 2 weeks ago. I've shot it purposely to feel the recoil (not at a bird so I wouldn't be distracted). It was hard to say but it did seem lighter especially since it's really light for a 12 gauge magnum. I'd keep it if I were you, mine fits me perfectly and it fits my eye too.

I got one last year. I think it kicks more. More than my 870 pump. Inertia system cycles faster but no gasses are used to retract bolt so you get all the back pressure. Also the gun is extremely light. That adds to the recoil as well. So far I think it's a beautiful gun and has not jammed once. If your looking for reduced recoil look into a gas operated auto loader such as a Rem 1100.Another factor with M2 is round capacity. Fully loaded it holds 4 which is 1 short of most guns. To make up for it I bought a magazine extension. Now it holds 6!! Not really what I was looking for but better than 4. Mag ext is kinda cheezy though. They could have done a much better job on it. Funny this comes up. I just broke mine completely down last night for the first time. Very easy. It will take several years of service before I admit that it was a good bargain. I could have bought another brand far cheaper. I've had a rem 1100 20ga for about 12 years and it has been a great gun.
