duck hunting in grand rapids area?

Anyone think we'll have a good year duck hunting in the Grand Rapids are this year?

Palisade eh? I get down that way some...good country. Do ya know the Westons down there? From the sounds of it, I wouldn't leave that area to shoot some ducks.

Did very well opening morning. Didn't bring that many home but saw lots of woodies. Jumped about 80 woodies out of the first spot and they filtered back about every 25 minnutes. The second day was a little slower but got some shooting and brought 2 back. Overall a fun weekend.

Took my limit Sat and Sun. Four teal, one ringbill and three woodies. Quite a few ducks around. ~hogsucker

What a great year! BEfore shooting time we saw thousands of ducks. At times you couldnt see parts of the sky. One of the greatest openers i ever had!!!

We're heading up to Hill City on Friday for a weekend of hunting...have never hunted the area as my buddy's parents just bought a couple of condos at Quadna (Park X). Not sure of exactly where to hunt but we were gonna plan on trying the big lake on the first morning, and then scouting around in the afternoon for a few smaller sloughs for some ringbills and maybe a few geese. Can anyone perhaps point me in the right direction? We are hoping to not have to stray too far from Hill City.
