Throttle cable

I just picked up a 1967 Johnson 60hp and the cables that came with the controls are a couple of feet too short. Is this an easy thing to replace? I called a place by my house and they said they can order new cables but I am wondering if anyone knows of a place that has in stock. Any ideas?

Try Hannay's or Twin city outboard. Most dealers do not stock parts for 39 year old o/b's or cars for that matter.

I have few OMC cables around, problem is your remote might need cables from 1975 and older (I have opposite, from '75 to current). Wich size do you need ?

I called Hanneys and they said they would have it. I am going there tonight. Val, If they do not have it I am looking for 13' I figure. The lenth from where the control box goes to the motor is 11' and I figured 2' for a loop. This is going on the 1960 Starcraft I bought from you last year. I haven't been able to find a motor until now. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Just an update. Hanneys had what I wanted. I needed 2 cables and they had 3 in stock so with a little luck I'll get this boat on the water before it gets hard.
