Oh How I love The Full Moon!!

Recommended Posts

Here on Chequamegon Bay, the full moon is one of the best periods to get out on the water in search of some great fishing action. But when you couple the full moon period with the fall season and an early evening into the late night fishing trip, watch out!!!

With the shorter days and cooling water temps, the fish out here are scurring to get fat and sassy for the long winter coming shortly. Species such as walleyes, smallmouth, pike, and even the occassional brown trout will be eagerly waiting your lure. So if you get a chance, come and enjoy some fantastic fishing when the moon is bright... October's full moon should bring an even better bite here on the bay.

Here are a couple shots from last nights trip...

What a nice weekend for hunting. Had 2 mature does walk by on Sat. afternoon. Then had a doe and a little 5 pointer under the tree on Sunday evening. Never lifted the bow, just watched them enjoying there afternoon. Felt good to put some camo on and climb the tree. Just need some leaves to come down.

Steve, you crack me up grin.gif

Well the October full moon is coming around!!! Anyone gonna be hitting the water? Monday the 17th, I will probably be in search of a big musky, and then on the 18th, if the weather cooperates, I should be out on the big lake chasing some walleyes!!
