Catfish on Cedar Island Lake???

I've heard that catfish are great on Cedar Island Lake in Stearns county but have never fished for them before. Can anyone help me out with some advice? Thanks!

Kastrel, post this comment on the St.Cloud Area Lakes forum and you should get a pretty good response.

I can't speak of Cedar Island lake, but the last few years I.C.E Leaders has held an event called Cool Cats on Horseshoe Lake targeting catfish. It's a blast that's for sure!

I know it's ice fishing is the method to get those cats, but it can possibly give you an idea of spots to try out this fall, early ice, etc...

There are cats all over the whole chain out there. I know of some good spots in the spring but have never targeted them this time of year. Good Luck
