MN BASS Federation??

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone had any information on the MN BASS Federation?? I think I saw it mentioned on the forum a few weeks ago...? I found their HSOforum and got a generic response back from Cal McCracken...? I e-mailed them at the earlier part of July and again in August... I received a single response after each e-mail both saying the same thing.

Does anyone know who I might get in touch with as far as joining a club next year... or even the latter part of this year if there are still functions or tournaments going on?

Thanks in advance for any info...

Zoko- The state tournament was this last weekend(if thats what you want to call it, its always on Thursday/friday)... There are clubs all over the state, you should be able to find one to join. Cal is the person you need to contact, he is in cahrge of membership.

You could also probably contact Jay Green, he is the president.... You can find his e-mail addy on the State MNBF page.. if you have a hard time finding it, let me know and I can give it to you.

Deitz, thanks for the reply.

I don't know what the deal is...? I e-mailed Jay two days ago with no reply. Granted, two days isn't a lot of time to be waiting for a reply... however, prior to this and as I mentioned earlier, I contact MNBF in mid-July and again in late-August.

Maybe they don't want any new members? confused.giffrown.gif

If you want to have the chance at winning a Triton, then you want to look at ABA.

I was thinking about fishing this league instead of the BASS federation next year. The unfortunate thing about the federation club I was in the last two years (Granite City Bassmasters) was there was WAY too much drama with those guys. If I wanted drama, I would tune to TNT on cable.

Senko-The Minnesota BASS federation tournaments are considered amature tournaments. No boat or money is won at these tournaments. However, there are quite a few in which you can. As stated above the ABA has a tournament series here in minnesota, and if you qualify for the regionals and make it to nationals.. and win nationals, then yes you win a Triton.. Frankies in Chisago just had a tournament this last weekend, and the winner walked away with a new ranger bass boat. I also think that they old silverado series champion wins a boat as well...

Not easy to do.. but is possible.
