axle question?

fish2live

Question

i think i will replace the axle on my boat trailer i keep blowing seals and can't figure it out. so i will replace axle and hubs. here's my question should i go with a tortion axle little more money but is it worth it? or just stick to a regular straight? what's the difference in the ride? also should i go with the wet oil hubs or regular the wet oil just seem to good to be true never have to worry just make sur there is oil and it's clean.

thanks for the input

steve

airjar if i just remove the current axle and springs i should be able to put the torsion axle in it's place right? what other problems might there be? i'm wondering cause i just think it would inprove the ride of my trailer and i'm going to replace the axle and springs anyway and they are around the same price

A friend of mine considered doing this to a cargo trailer and ran into some issues with clearances due to the old spring axle sat underneath the springs but the torsion axle would bolt to the frame. it took awhile but he got it, it sits a lot lower so it's alot easier to get in an out of grin.gif
