White-tips
Living in Fargo, looking for large to jumbo leeches by the pound. Anyone know of any available by mail-order or otherwise, I would really appreciate some feedback. Anyone with positive results from a particular on-line vendor please let me know by posting here or [email protected]. Thanks in advance for the help. ghotierman
Maybe very hard to come by. My wholesaler ships all over and was done with them a couple weeks ago. The hot weather in July pretty much ended the trapping season and the warehoused ones were sold out about three to four weeks earlier than usual. Last year's cooler summer let him stockpile longer...we had leeches in mid september. Might be some regional dealer that has some to ship...but don't hold your breath...good luck. Dragon Fish ll
If you know of a little pond where there are some leeches at this time of year does anyone think I can still catch some. Ihave left a bait bucket in a small pond once on a job site where some of the minnows died.the next day when I pulled my bucket out had a bunch of leeches that were feeding on the dead minnows. I noticed a small pond outside yesterday where im staying at temporarly. what is a good store bought bait to try an catch some.chick livers or what? and do you think there still up and about. good tips on how too welcome. Bobb-o
I always save some suckers from the spring run, cut them up and use them for bait. Be v ery carefulo if you are using chicken livers as bait as you can kill all the leeches off in the pond if you use too much! Otherwise, the heads of fish you have cleaned work well too
