Scenic
The English River at Grassy Narrows. Some of the best fishing I have found within short driving distance.
leechlake
Morson, ON, forty miles north of Baudette. We go 3-4 times every year in May and June and have never done poorly (in 15 years), I've fished a lot and doing poorly is usually part of the territory, not up there. And it's really close, Canada wise.
Tonka Boy
I'll second what Jeff said. I've done that trip for many years now and always have a blast. Or anywhere on the English river for that matter...
fishyguy
Lac Suel has always been my most consistent bite.
Fishinglund
I would also like to know some places where people like to go. I'm looking for a good fishing/family resort for the middle of June that isn't too far of a drive into Ontario. (8-10 hrs from the twin cities)ThanksFishinglund

Scenic
Misty's Fishing Adventure in Grassy Narrows is located approximately 40 miles north of Kenora(sp?) Ontario. I believe it is off Hwy 651 (someone correct me if I am wrong please) From Bemidji this is about a 4-5 hour drive with good roads except for the last 40 miles. The road itself is not bad but with all the twists and turns in it you will not make any speed records. We fish mostly around the Fox Island area this time of the year. If you can get booked on to Fox Island you can camp right there so you do not need to run very far to fish.

I just got back and fishing was excellent. Check out the web for the telephone number.
PASSIONFORTHEEYES
Great trip and would go again. Fished the current areaswith spinners and minnows and had to work for them. Biggest was 22 inches. Casting crank baits from shore and picked up some nice keepers, The fish seemed to be scattered in there summer patteerns caught fish from 5 feet to 32 feet deep. Next time we will probably camp at anIsland. Misty River Adventures is highly recommended!!!!!
