Waterfowl stew

Recommended Posts

This is a great crockpot recipe for any waterfowl.

First fry-up 1/2 to 1 lb of bacon until it's fairly crisp. Then take 2 goose breasts or 4-6 duck breasts, cut in to bite-size pieces and brown in a little of the bacon grease. Add the bacon, goose, cut-up potatoes, one can of saurkraut (Frank's in the green can is best)and about 1/2 cup of white wine to the crockpot. Season to your liking, I put in a little kick with cayenne. Cook on low for about 8 hours and enjoy! Goes great with some good bread for soppin' up the juice!

You could add more veggies if you like. I never thought I liked sauerkraut until I tried this recipe. Let me know if you try it.
