mnsnowdaboy
Ok guys so I'm young and I can afford a boat yet so I would like to know the best place to rent a boat with nice fishin. Today I just went to south Linstrom lake and rented a boat and fished from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. I was nice and the price was pretty good actually. Problem was we didn't catch a single fish. I tried everything I had but honestly, we just don't know what the locals were using. I saw a lot of guy trolling for walleyes, but I'm still tring to figure out what the technique on what to do. So we tried to get walleys, then went to the pads for Bass then went near the beach area for anything........but nothing.Well anyone have any suggestions on a lake that has boat rentals and good fishin. The locals said fish is just not biting good lately, is it cause of the warm weather? I guess for Labor day I plan on just fishing and relaxing. I'd prefer to fish for eyes or Large mouths. Any suggestions, I live in woodbury and drove all the way to linstrom so I'm willing to travel. PS it would be good to if you guys suggest what to use for that kind of fish at that lake. Surface Tension
I haven't forgot the days when I was a young Lad without the jack for a boat so I made my own. Get your butt up to the Duluth area and I'll lend you a boat to use. Ya I'll get you on a good eye lake too.
matthothand
Get a few guys together and go on a charter on Lake Superior. Around Labor Day is the best time of year for lake trout. I recomend Bill's Great Lakes Charters. You can get a break on a motel room if you are going on a charter there and Duluth makes for a great mini vacation...it's just up the road (35) from Woodbury. If you're looking to stay near the cities and want to rent a small boat for your personal use check out Minnetonka. It'll be a busy place but there's good fishing for many species and it's close to home. How'd you like Lindstrom? Did you do any bassin'?
