Recommended Posts

We are having a get together up at Cats on the Red in Manitoba Canada the weekend of Sept. 17th.

We are arriving on saturday afternoon and leaving tuesday morning.

Anyone and everyone is invited.

I think there is still rooms available at Cats on the Red.

Book now before they are all gone!

I do have two beds available in my room if anyone is interested.

I also have room for one in my boat along with Dark 30 and Brian K.

Who would like to join us for some of the best catfishing any where in the world?!

Average size fish is around 20lbs!!! and there are LOTS of them!

Wish I could, bubba, wish I could.

Would feel like old times in a number of very happy and rewarding ways. I only spent a couple days up there a few years back, but they were good days, and you don't forget the good people you meet on good days on the water (or ice, come to think of it.)

Plus, I'd like to see if Stu could still beat up any group of punks that trash the lower unit on one of his rental boat's motors. blush.gif

Say hello to that salty old Highlander for me if you see him. He may even remember me. crazy.gif

If you can make it, don't miss it. Well, maybe I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Maybe you've been up there. If so, sorry about that. But if not, they don't call Lockport the channel catfish Mecca for nothing. And September is when the big piggies start putting on the feedbag and heading upstream. Not to mention those big fall greenback walleyes that run from 10 to 15 pounds and sometimes bigger. As I recall, Stu had one of those silvery hawgs mounted over his counter at Cats on the Red. Seriously big walleyes. cool.gif

Mmmmm, sometimes Ely isn't heaven after all. When I lived in G.F., it wasn't such a long drive to Lockport. And the gas prices. Sheesh! mad.gif

I would love to get in on this event. I would not be able to come up until Sunday the 18th. How long of a drive is it from Rochester, and what do I need to cross the border? Is there a camp site close by or somewhere at kitties on the Red to put up a tent?

I have been having some luck with channel cats down here this week.....
