Canoe loader

Has anyone ever made a device that makes it possible to load and unload a canoe from the top of a car solo? I'm trying to plan one out and am looking for suggestions.

I use the canoe loader from Cabelas to load a 14' Old Town- it rocks.

For a couple years I used and Eide Boat Loader, which I now have no use for (trailer bigger boat) and they work as slick as you can get. Push a button and your boat or canoe goes right on top and locks down. They have a HSOforum. I loaded a 16' aluminum Smokercraft Alaskan with it. Mine sits by my garage now.
