ICE FISH FINDERS

PYROPAL

Question

KRAWPETE'S POST REMINDED ME OF ANOTHER QUESTION! CAN THESE POPULAR ICE-FISHING UNITS LIKE THE MARCUM,OR VEXILAR,BE USED FOR SOFT-WATER FISHING? I USUALLY RENT OR BORROW A BOAT. IF THEY CAN NOT DO BOTH I MAY JUST HAVE TO FIX THE ONE I ALREADY OWN (IMPULSE 2800)

Yes they can, you may have to buy a different transducer. When I first bought a clearwater classic, it came with a puck style ducer and enough cable to mount it on the bottom of my trolling motor. Now the vex has the self aligning ducer with only three ft of cable. Would need to buy a different ducer, $50. Still cheaper than a new depth finder if you don't fish that much.
