I'm curious how many people use snaps to attach their ice jigs (glow devils, angle eyes, swedish pimples and the sort) to the line? I picked up a couple last week and I actually found it quite convenient when I went to leave. But is it better to use a snap swivelly than a snap? Do I have to worry about tangling line? My line is a mess after catching cats on tear drops and I would like to avoid restringing my spools all the time.

Try a quick clip. It is a little clip that is like the ones you attach a stinger hook on a jig. They come in three sizes and are much smaller than a snap swivel.

On bigger spoons for eyes or lakers I use snaps. Not for panfish.
