Powerstroke
I was wondering if anyone here has done the three rivers park district goose hunts before? I was reading through it and it says you are responsible for providing decoys (not a big deal) and you're supposed to help build blinds and most hunting is done on weekdays. Also says "a minimum of 5 days of hunting".Are the days negotiable? Are you required to be there on the days they want to hunt? I want to apply, but I can't guarentee I can get off work those mornings.
Mark Christianson
You need to be available on the mornings they want to hunt. Period. My buddy is the wildlife specialist at Three Rivers Parks. He is the guy that drags you out to hunt the birds. You need to have a pretty open schedule. Hence the reason I don't apply for it. I have a flexible schedule, but not that flexible. kurtkwe
I participated last fall at Cleary Lake. You must be able to hunt weekdays and be flexible. No duck hunting is allowed. The hunting was not that great. We averaged about 2-3 birds in total per hunt. The setting was nice. They let up to 5 parties on Cleary Lake which gets too crowded in my view. Hope this helps.
