Ray Kallio
Anybody have any fishing info on the grand marais area..I am either gonna fish lake superior or inland lakes with a motorized boat. Any good fishing near shore on lake superior this time of year?
CrappieJohn
Welcome to FishingMinnesota.com Ray! Always good to see a new name and hopefully some interaction. You will do better with this question if you go to the Duluth forum with it. The guys from that area are great to work with and you'll get some sure answers there.Again, welcome on deck! Kaz
Ray: Check out Devils Track Lake. It's up the trail and a good walleye as well as Lake trout lake. It's up about a 1000 ft AGL or more above Lake Superior, great view from the trail on the way up.... Kaz
Quickstrike
there are a ton of great lakes up the gunflint trail for many different species, Devil's Track is probally the most popular and most accesable within 10 miles of grand marais, but if you are willing to drive and do a little work, you can find much better lakes. I suggest getting a lake map book and trying a few different lakes. I can guide you in the right direction if you e-mail me at [email protected]. There are also some reasonble charters out of the grand marais harbor and you should be able to get some nice fish.
