SEMNFAN
Hello, I am a High School Agriculture Teacher, and would like my students to make ice-fishing rods. Anyone know of a site to check out or method that is inexpensive, and relatively easy. Thanks!
0 fiskyknut
You could check with Cabelas, they have some inexpensive kits that might be just what you're looking for. Make sure to mention you're ateacher and this is a school project and I'd bet they'd give you a bit of a discount too.So after they build their icesticks do they get a field trip out to the local fishin hole!Regards....fiskyknut
0 Surface Tension
I made one in Jr High something like this. Made from 1x4 pine. You can use a glass blank if you want the fancy model. Try one of the Lesser rod manufacturers. Tell them what your doing. Ask for one-piece handles and reel seats and some 2nds for blanks.
0 icehousebob
Cabela's close-out room had a bucket of rod tips for a couple bucks apiece. Talk to management about it being a school project and they might give you a quantity discount.
