neusbaum
I've never fished the Brule, but would like to try some fly fishing there this coming Fall. Could someone tell me when and where I might go to catch some salmon? Seems I heard once there is a peak season when they make their spawning runs. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Jim Hudson
Nuesbaum I dont fish the Brule that much, but there are a few people in this forum who fish it quite a bit. So hopefully they will chime in and give you a hand. Around my area, here in Bayfield, we have Pikes Creek. It gets a fall run of Kings, usually starting the end of August and into September. Small stream, with some decent size fish. As the time gets nearer, I will give you up to date info on how the fish are doing in my neck of the woods. OnTheWater
I fished the brule for the first time last fall; awesome river! Definitly put it on the top of your list for places to fish. I believe the Steelies start movin in around late Sept. through October;and coho's run around late August through Sept; correct me if I'm wrong. I've fished in numerous spots North of Hwy 2 and the city of Brule. Go to this link Brule river sportsmens club, it should answer many of your questions.
