Bassboy1645

Question

I just finally got my flasher for the most part figured out, but im not sure how baitfish come up as. are they just a bunch of quick little flashes in a depth range or is it just a single wide beam at a cetrian depth range? Any tips or advice??? I have an eagle silent sixty made by lowrance if that helps........ confused.gif

From what I have seen. You may need to up your gain very slightly. Baitfish will appear almost as interference. Kind of scattered responses suspended in column, not a consistant solid line. If you have your gain adjusted you can jig a spoon and pick it out right amongst the baitfish.

I had that exact unit for years. It'll serve you well. As far as bait fish goes it realy depends. If it's a small or scattered school you'll get a lot of scattered very thin marks. Simulair to interference like BDR stated. If it's a big school you'll get a big thick line with the thin scattered lines above and below it. Also as you move though it, it will become scattered thin lines as you near the edge of the school.

I'm a flasher guy myself. The graph in my boat goes unused 99% of the time.

borch and bdr, thanks for the help....ive seen both of these types of flashes on there before but wasnt surewhat to make of them. Yes i have tried turning sensitivity up but im still baffled by seeing your lure on the flasher. i dont think ive seen this and ive even tried but i still cant seem to pick my lure out of all the flashes going on. maybe ill experiment with this for a long time tommorow. crazy.gif
