What are you looking for? For pay sites I've been in leagues on CBS and Fanball. I really like Fanball as far as paysites go. If your looking at setting up a keeper league one of these two will be the way to go.

If your looking for free, its hard to beat Yahoo. Its easy to get into a public league and offers live and autodrafts. Most leagues set up on FM have been set up on Yahoo. It's also easy to set up private leagues on as well. If you set up your league there and you want to keep it free you will be running a pretty bare bones operation. If you upgrade and pay the $$ you can get more out of it. I've commished my local auction league there the past 2 years and its worked for us.

I noticed this year that Fox Sports is offering free fantasy football as well. I've looked through their site and they offer quite a bit for a free service. I will most likely move my auction league over to the site as I have been impressed with what I've seen so far.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions I can answer.

A couple others I know of are NFL.com and smallworld.com(which is teamed up with THe Sporting NEws).

I believe you are right with NFL.com running off of CBS's server. I just checked it out and from what I gather, if you join a random public league you can do so for free and it does offer live scoring. If you want to set up a private league you must then sign up for the league manager service and I think it runs $129.00 a league.

Yahoo also offers live scoring, however, you must pay for it. You can purchase their StatTracker feature, individualy or if you can sign up for their league manager system as well for $124. If you do buy the StatTracker feature it cover all of your football teams for that user name. I think the Max if 4. So if you are in 4 Yahoo Leauges you will have live scoring in each of them.

This is why if you are going to a pay site, I believe Fanball offers the best options. They have good features and its half the price. Some of their keeper league features are really cool.

Fox is free all the way around and offers live scoring. You can set up and manage your league on it and all teams will have live scoring for free. They have a few other cool features as well, and are integrated with MSN's passport sign in. One way to check it out is to take their little tour they have, or just create a league and explore all the options and features you get and compare it to Yahoo. It is a lot more. You can always delete the league after you mess around a bit. Hope this helps.

dwag70,

I haven't seen Yahoo yet this year. As far as doing free public leagues its pretty nice. I still wish they offered live scoring for free through. That and the ability to split your league into divisions is leaning me towards putting my private auction league over on Fox Sports. What has Yahoo done this year? Thanks for the feedback. I've been really tempted to draft a team in a public Yahoo league, but I just can't pull the trigger yet to draft so early. The temptation is getting strong, and I'm sure I'll have a team by the end of the month.
